Tiptoeing up to a leopard part II

This painting, although the first stage took only three days,  has been one of the gradually evolving backdrops to the last three months of my life that’s been undergoing an even greater metamorphosis.

I’ve been working on many other projects of very varied natures in the meantime and every time when I return to this specific painting after a few days of separation, I’m completely immersed. It is great to come back to a painting in progress after a break, because the eyes and mind went on holiday, feasted on other visions and can now with fresh objectivity isolate and lift out the small areas of the painting that most need a bit of work still. For this reason I normally work on a number of paintings simultaneously.

There are a number of parallels between what is happening in the painting and the current unfolding of events in my own life.

Perhaps this sounds all a bit too mysterious for the average heman/sheman’s palette and for that very reason I’ve decide to tone social media activity down to a trickle so that I can focus on making my dreams real.
