This piece was painted during a particularly difficult year during which other avenues arrested my attention. Whenever I could escape into the studio for a few hours here and there, the tranquility and patience of the leopard and the scene welcomed me. During that year, this painting was like a refuge and the leopard like a close friend, never turning his back.
